Did you know that TikTok is now used as a search engine more than Google?

If you’re looking to make the most out of social media marketing, then it’s essential for you to make a TikTok page for your company.

In this comprehensive guide, we’ll walk you through the process of creating a TikTok page, why it’s essential, and how to optimise it for maximum impact.

Let’s dive in and explore the possibilities with TikTok.

Why Should I Make a TikTok Page?

TikTok has emerged as a powerful platform for brands to connect with a younger demographic. Here are a few compelling reasons to establish a TikTok page for your business:

Connect with a Younger Audience

TikTok boasts a massive user base of Gen Z and millennials, making it an ideal platform to reach younger consumers.

It has over 1 billion monthly users in 2024 and has now doubled the size of Snapchat and Pinterest. This means that TikTok now accounts for over 20% of social media usage online.

Showcase Creativity

TikTok’s short-form video format allows brands to showcase their creativity and personality in unique ways, helping them stand out in a crowded market.

It has great built-in features to help you learn what your audience finds most helpful, such as its “Creator Centre” which shows you trending songs, content and well-performing ads that month.

We’ll be posting a guide shortly showing you the bests ways to utilise TikTok Creator Centre, so stay tuned.

Brand Exposure

By creating engaging and shareable content, businesses can increase their brand exposure and reach a wider audience on TikTok.

Whether you’re a small business or a multinational corporation, establishing a presence on TikTok can help you connect with your target audience in meaningful ways.

Set-Up to Make a TikTok Page

  1. Download the TikTok App: To create a TikTok page, you need to have the TikTok app installed on your mobile device. You can find it in the App Store or Google Play Store.
  2. Sign Up or Log In: Open the TikTok app and sign up for a new account or log in if you already have one.
  3. Navigate to Profile Settings: Once you’re logged in, tap on the “Me” icon at the bottom right corner of the screen to access your profile.
  4. Edit Profile: In your profile settings, you can edit your username, bio, profile picture, and other details to personalize your TikTok page.
  5. Switch to a Business Account: Consider switching to a Pro account, which provides access to analytics and additional features for businesses and content creators.
  6. Start Posting Content: Now that your TikTok page is set up, start creating and sharing engaging content to attract followers and grow your audience.

Sharing Access to My TikTok Page

If you’re looking to share access to your TikTok page with an agency or individual (so that they can post and analyse content on your behalf), you’ll need to have your page set as a Business Profile.

To switch to a Business Account, log into your TikTok and go to your profile, click the three dots in the right corner and go to “Settings and Privacy”, then “Account” and then select “Switch to Business Account”.

Once you’ve done this, access the Business Centre and go to the members tab, inviting the individual by entering their email under “Invite member” and select the level of control you’d like them to have. Then go to the next page and assign them to the asset (page) you’d like them to work on.
